The East Coast vintage highlight of 2011 is Historic Festival 29. Even more exciting than 2010’s event, you’ll see lots of sprint races for 10 groups, a Pre-WWII race group, Formula Atlantic/Formula 2 races and more than 100 MGs as Historic Festival 29 is the MG Club’s “Focus Event” for 2011. Also expect a big presence from Jaguar, as it celebrates the 50th anniversary of the E-Type and the 60th of Jag’s first win at Le Mans. The Honored Collector is Philadelphia neurosurgeon Dr. Frederick Simeone, who has a fantastic stable of beautiful, significant cars ready for the Sunday Concours. Wish I could come, gotta prep my car for Shenandoah next weekend. Met a few guys after watching Senna that actually participate in the event. Guy had an Aston Martin of the age group...was pretty cool talkin to a few car guys that weren't snobby.
