any recommendations, preferably ones with experience with m20 motors?

i have a complete cylinder head that needs disassembly and cleaning and a bare block to be cleaned, decked and o-ringed.

so far i've been to Northeast auto machine in east hartford. any Other recommendations?

Delana auto parts in new Britain, I don't think they ever worked on an M20, but these guys have years and years of experience

I haven't had any really good experiences with dalena's in the past. I use Carlquist competition in oakville. http://carlquistengines.com/

They aren't the cheapest around but not quite the most expensive either. But, they are most certainly one of the best as far as quality of work. I have only had him do my Subaru heads which are far more labor intensive than an e30 head so in not sure. It's also going to depend on if you are having your valves recut or getting new ones.

Also, if it needs new valve guides that will add quite a bit to the bill.

Try giving them a call he can give you a ROUGH estimate if want. But just to let you know in my 10 years or so of building motors I have tried do almost everything myself since most machine shop seem to have a knack for screwing something up. But if I lack the time time or know how to do anything this is the place I trust.
