Thompson Speedway is consider opening up their old road course. Yeah a local track that doesn't have muckity mucks dictating when people can drive.

I welcome any new race venues. From the looks of those pictures, they should probably widen it for modern sedan racing. And maybe flatten out the dropoffs at the edges of the track. Unfortunately, I'd say more than 90% of proposed racetracks are stopped before their first event.

Palmer is having trouble raising capital and selling million dollar memberships. They have permission to start but due to well the current recession it's tough.

Thompson Speedway is a running business so a few fund raisers and when the word is out they will come.

Have you seen Lime Rock's current rates? This is why New England needs another track.

Obviously as soon as I'm about to graduate and leave the area this happens :) It's kewl if it actually comes together I'll be back as often as I can. Now that I actually have a quick e30 with a roof maybe I should learn how to drive these things properly.

Thompson is being redone as we speak. They already have contracts with a couple car clubs, I know for sure that PCA has already cut a big check for a driver's school for 2014.
