Worth going if you can make it. Not a huge museum, but if the BMW exhibit is still there, there are some significant race and road cars being shown. I was in the area for vacation in July, and the second to last day I found out about it in the local paper and re-routed my return home just to stop in.
I mainly wanted to revisit my favorite art car, the Warhol M1 (could stare at that car for hours), but there's also the Stella M1 (only art car in private hands IIRC), ex-Gregg/Redman CSL, ex-Donahue e34 M5, 328 Mille Miglia, 328 road car, 507, etc.
Cool stuff.'84 318i - Lapisblau/Schwarz (in cryosleep)

The BMW exhibit will still be there. I have seen BAV's show and it's the same cars over and over. Saratoga is the a shorter distance from me and is a multi-day event vs 1 day and I hate the Troopers all over the 95 looking to fill their ticket books out the first weekend of the month.Comment

Yeah, I haven't gone to the bav show in years. I'm not too big on shows these days, really. The Saratoga one looks like a nice change of pace, but I have a chumpcar race that weekend.'84 318i - Lapisblau/Schwarz (in cryosleep)

Since I can't go to BMW Vintage, I visited Saratoga Springs yesterday. Here's a preview of what you'll find at the Auto Museum. No E30's, but plenty of cool stuff nonetheless - definitely worth the price of admission. The 2002tii was my fave.
Warhol M1 art car. I think they usually keep it at some museum in France:
Isetta
CSL
Pristine bikes
E9
Z1 (almost an E30)

I'll be going. I'm just north of Saratoga on 87, near Lake Placid. Looking forward to it. I'd love you see your M3's. In my 30 years, I have never sat in one. It would be such a treat for me to get up close. Let's hope the weather is nice!Comment

Steve, I just met Jim last night and he was telling me about you buying his E23. I totally would drive it out there, but I'm gonna be out of town all weekend. Let me see if I can put you in touch with some locals that might want to do it.Originally posted by BillBraskyE36's are the Stephen Baldwin of the 3 series family.
