Meet: Vernon, CT

Time: 11:00 am, 12:00 noon sit for lunch.

I'm looking for excuses to do long trips in the BMW, so I'd like to organise a get together in Vernon, CT at Rein's Deli. If anyone has ever been there before, they can vouch for their sandwiches being....'epic'........not even to mention the onion rings.

The way I discovered Reins Deli was from a friend on a Volvo forum that I have been on for a while, and I would like to invite the Volvo drivers from that site to be there with us. All of the regulars (5-7 guys) are really mellow, and appreciate well done, understated, and clean cars...basically mostly like most of us on this forum.

All in all, it would be a nice event. We all meet there at 11 am or so. Walk around, introductions, the regular bullshit. We all go in, sit down together over a few tables, enjoy a nice sandwich and a beer (or softdrink). Then we come back outside, take some pictures if anyone is interested, final conversations, and head our own way.

There's another kid with an E30 in Tolland and I'll see if he can make it. I'm 17 and half the staff down there is my friend. Rein's is within walking distance of me. After wards we should go on a cruise a real nice park in Manchester called "Wickham Park." That place is amazing during the fall and would be awesome for some pics.

This sucks ass. I live 10 minutes from Reins and will be in CT until Nov. 7th, but I have already paid for my car to be shipped to California on the 1st...I cant believe this...

There are 5 people on the Volvo forum that are already coming. As far as a drive to the park, I'm sure that would not be a problem. I may exclude my 325 from the pics since it is in its 'primer blue' glory of a paint job.

I'd imagine that by 1:00 we'd all be sitting down. If we know you're coming we can get an extra chair.

bad news...
because of emergency operations at work, I have to bag it. this sucks...
if anyone is still interested in going, all of the Volvo guys will still be there as it is a fixed spot for Volvo meets by now.
