FS: E30 M42 Head, Refreshed, Tacoma, WA

A few months back I bought this head on an impulse even though I didn't really need it. The guy I bought it from claims that it came from an engine that had thrown a rod somewhere just north of 100,000 miles. As a result, the two exhaust valves were bent on the #4 cylinder. I had my favorite local machine shop tear it down to inspect it and there was no further damage. I then had the shop do the following work:

    - Inspect head
    - Grind valves
    - Replace 2 each exhaust valves
    - Replace 16 each valve guide seals
    - Mill / Resurface head
    - Clean everything to perfection

After cleaning the shop also noted that a few of the hydraullic lifters were still sticky and showing signs of wear. As a precaution I replaced all 16 lifters with brand new ones from Pelican Parts - NOT CHEAP!

Aside from the chain sprockets, which are somewhat worn (probably still usable though), this head is virtually new and ready to go. This would be a great way to significantly reduce down time on your next M42 head removal / installation, as well as adding peace of mind that you aren't going to have any further head problems anytime soon.

Asking $700; I have receipts to prove I am not making any money on this at all!!!

I am hoping for a local transaction. If no one local is interested by July 7th I will agree to ship anywhere in the 48 States. I will also be in the Portland area July 5th and 6th. Post or PM for questions or for high-res pictures.

    Thanks for reading
