Haha! It is a nice word.

Apparently everyone has thrown theirs out, Joe Funk has blown them up... or people are still driving their M10's! :(

Found one at Foster Auto Parts for an ok price (only ok because it comes with a 6 month warrenty). But... I want to wait and see if I can help someone free up some garage space first!

I miss driving my e30. As much as I love my Lexus... well, you know!

When I bought mine it had one essentially shot cylinder, a second was real low, the other two were good. Supposedly it had been rebuilt, but I highly doubt it! Head gasket was completely gone when I pulled it apart (220k miles). So, I just don't see the point in spending money on machining the head to make it seal when the lower end isn't so hot.

I didn't think mine would ever go either! But... when people borrow your car and drive it with the temp gauge pegged til steam pours out of the hood.... LOL.

Put an m20 in or something if you have to swap it....

Cost, time, cost, cost... I hear you there, but then it's more than just a motor I'm buying.

I am still halfway looking for an M42 though. I have the harness, ECU, and transmission already for it. However, job going away + back in school = no money to play with! Even still, there are a number of little bits and pieces I would need to get and figure out. Plus the rewiring of it... I can do a basic pull and replace, but can't say I feel terribly adept at rewiring.

M42 is really quite tempting I will admit. Just a matter of cost, time, and how much little crap to deal with afterward.

These motors are becoming obsolete apparently. (Sigh)

Looks like I'll be calling up Foster for that M10 as soon as some parts or one my cars gets outta here.

As luck would have it, cash in hand and Foster doesn't have the motor anymore!

Bump this back up to see if anything new has popped up.
