    Recommendations for house insurance?

I'm buying a cabin at Mt. Baker and the realtor reminded me to get homeowners insurance.

Now I am not familiar with the companies you have in the US so is there some preferred companies to deal with.

I have been handed a couple of names, one is an Allstate agent the other is for Farmers.

    TIA for any information.

I just recently went with state-farm. Allstate was competitive as well. Look to see if there are any local insurers there, they seem to be competitive price-wise.

Statefarm was the best priced that I could find and I did a lot of research being I'm buying my first house.
