Worked on it some more today. Think most everything is getting sorted out.
Still curious about where this line goes.
1)This appears to be some vac box (so it says on the side of it) and there is a thin line coming off the back. It looks like maybe it coudl go to teh charcoal canister (which I left on my m20) but the line is way small.
2) Also curious about this one, it goes back up behind and under the intake manifold.
*The e36 has a butterfly valve in one exhaust tip that had a vac line hooked up to it, wondering if one of these lines (this one) connected to a line which then connected to teh exhaust... just a thought since know one has thrown anything out and I don't see where it could go.
3) These wires go down to the starter? So the relay's get pulled down as well?
4) Trying to put all of the power wires up to teh battery cable. I got 4 wires from teh e36 harness and I still need to put the fuse box wires up to power. I wanted to make sure all of these wires connect to power.
One of those wires from the Air Pump is power (thicker) and the narrower one is ground, correct?
Are there any grounds that I'm missing somewhere? I haven't really seen any.Last edited by 87e30; 08-15-2009, 08:15 PM.Originally posted by z31maniacI just hate everyone.

1)don't know, don't have it.
2) goes to the obdII FPR
3)which relays?? the three relays you're probably talking about, you can mount with the same hardware, cap and mounting point as the three relays with the M20 on the driver's strut tower.
4)as for the last pic of wires. they probably do. i would pull the insulation back a bit and make sure they are red wires. if they are brown, they are probably part of another strand of wiring that goes to your strut tower ground. No more e30s for me.

Okay, those are red so they are the power wires (two coming from fuse box) and I will just hook those up.
The weird thing to me is the main power wire on the e36 harness has power to the starter and then those 3 fuses also have a power wire, I believe it was originally to power the e36 fuse box. Well the e30 fuse box already has power, so what do I do with this extra (short) power wire that's right next to all 3 fuses. Can I just wrap it in electrical tape and leave it hanging... if it's just for the e36 fusebox I shouldn't need it for anything.
Trying to figure out how to get teh starter wired up....
Also I don't see any ground wires? I have to be missing something... where to look?
edit: the ground on the pass side motor arm and the front of the fuel rail are both missing. Lame, so I'll just look at a picture and try to figure those out.
Luis is the harness made to use the m20 temp sensor? I just bought a brand new e36 one... woops! I ask b/c I was looking through the wiring directions more specifically and saw that I needed to wire up the m20 temp sensor?Last edited by 87e30; 08-16-2009, 09:32 PM.Originally posted by z31maniacI just hate everyone.

Well I've been working on this stupid thing all day.
The stock obd2 exhaust will not fit. I already knew this, but I spent hours and time with a grinder just to confirm.
Can't seem to get the ignition cylinder out... any tips? I turn it oen click and jam a paper clip around... and nothing. I tried for a very long time.
Oh, also I don't see the 3 matching wires by color for the ews antenna. Are they a loose connecter just sitting in there or do I need to splice into them individually? I found a connector that's similar and just loose, but that's all.Last edited by 87e30; 08-16-2009, 09:14 PM.Originally posted by z31maniacI just hate everyone.
