    WTB 325i starter w/ bracket

    Hey guys,
I need a 325i starter for my s50 swap as I'd prefer to not have to grind down part of my block to make the eta starter fit. I will also need the mounting bracket for the 325i. Need this thing asap

    Thanks,
    Joe

PS: I didn't know the bracket was necessary.

I just put my i starter in with no bracket just one bolt holding it onto the bellhousing and it's been cranking like a champ!

Only 1 bolt? That seems like you are asking for trouble to me, maybe I'm wrong.. I'm sure BMW included the bracket for a reason and they are only 2 bucks new, so I'm going to get one and put it on. No reason to risk messing something up.

          ps, money sent court

I'm assuming you mean the bracket in the back... I mean I'm sure it would be handy but even with one bolt it's held in there tight. Normally I would put both bolts in but with the tranny rotated b/c it's sitting on m52 and the fact that I didn't take the intake mani off to put the starter in I settled with just one bolt. On my m20 there was alwasy just one bolt holding it in.

But I wasn't even aware there was a bracket for the i starter, the i car I pulled it off of didn't have one.
