I'll buy lunch and beer and ferry pass. Posts about the car are located here: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...61#post1647261

Hmmmm.... I'm supposed to be getting an exhaust welded on.

A couple other guys are busy.

Where in SEattle are you located? Link to the ad?

Talk him down b/c of the poor transmission, then 5 sp swap.

4 jackstands and one jack and you'll be good to go. The first major thing I did to my e30 was a trans swap... It SUCKS. But it's not as bad as you'd think. If you really want it on the cheap I have a trans that rattles and shakes due to a bad input shaft bearing. I'm not recommending it, but it's yours for free.

I'm in wallingford, the car is on bainbridge. He removed the post off craigslist. A free tranny sounds like insurance, even if it rattles. Best

I think I'd wait for a manual to come around to be honest.. Reading your other post it sounds like you really need a car, and trust me, you will have a running car sooner if you just wait for a manual then trying to do the conversion. There's always shit that comes up doing swaps and you find more shit that you can't ignore that needs replacing while you're in there and whatnot..

That's just my opinion.. If I needed a car, one that needed a tranny swap wouldn't be my first choice :/.

True, finding an already manual car would be ideal.

              Good luck today!

I looked for my e30 for over 3 months and still didn't end up with a good deal. :(
