Now to the bad part. I bought this motor for other reasons. When it got here I see coolant in the oil. Now I'm still trying to work things out with the seller, but I don't have the time to deal with this or the space/money to work on the motor. Therefore I need it gone.

This could be a cheap project, or possibly just an easy headgasket job. The seller promises me the motor runs great... that's really all I know. This sucks, and I'm clearly losing money on ditching this motor but I don't have space for it. Maybe someone will be interested. It has the harness and it's definitely complete.

I only have room for one motor, yet I have that m20 and now this m52. So c'mon r3v community jump on some good deals!

(I'm really looking for interest and hoping someone wants it... I need to hold onto it until I finalize the sale... which I'm in the process of doing with the seller)

$400 seems high for a motor with definite problems.

he bought this awhile back and is not the one that was from oregon. has about 130k. i believe the tranny is for sale as well.

It has 112k. You can make an offer, I've just heard of parts motors for going in this range and I don't want to mitigate my losses.

It comes with the harness as well. I have other random e36 parts... doors, part of a rear end off of a 328i, I dunno.

If I knew it was just the HG, I'd probably just jump on it. I don't want to take on a project that requires replacing/rebuilding the head or possibly a cracked block.

I wish I had more liquid money at the moment, I would just go for it. Hopefully for yours and the buyer's sake it is the HG. That would be a screaming deal.

None of those things have been done.

The seller assures me the car ran fine, I'm baffled how this is true and there is coolant in the oil though. If it is true then it must just be a HG... but I have school and what not out in Seattle. I don't have time to learn how to tear apart a motor and find out.

I'm hoping this is a good deal for someone out there!

hahahahahaha. No thanks greg... I'm too far down the road of obd2. Strictly can program my ecu for ~150 too. So I'm going to try that.
