    PDX E30/M50 Swap Experience

Who has it? I'm planning out my purchases and would like to pick the brains of people who've done it already.

I have a E36 with a non-Vanos motor lined up. Looking at using a 2002 brake booster, but other than that.......

Any words of advice before I dive into the E30 world balls first.

+1 we have all read it and so must you. You will not have it handed to you unless you want to pay me to do your swap for you.

Maybe you guys missed my intent. I'm not asking you to post up a step by step DIY for me.

The intent of this thread was more or less trying to find people (in Portland) who didn't mind me talking to them when I had a question (that I couldn't figure out by searching on the internet).

In the many years of working on modding cars, I know that it's best to talk to the people that have done it before.

        I'm familiar with this procedure:

I can give you any pointers you want, just shoot me a PM or post up here. I think it was you I met at the last Mickey Finn's meet. I was the guy with the red 325 with the M50 swap.

That's what I wanted to know. Who I can call on if I have any problems/hangups along the way.

Now I just need to finish closing on my new house (w/ a garage) so i have a place to start working.

Its really pretty easy. Read the forum first. There are a few of us who can help out if needed.
