Bav has them on sale occasionally for 10% off the 725 asking price. I have had mine on some e30 of mine in the Northeast with salt for last 7 years or so. And I bought it used from an E30 Sport member from the dark days.

The 2 used ones I picked up last month are not, one is for a 318is and the other is for an M. Love my Remus systems behind 24V systems.

    Stromung for 16V though.

The soot was from the DTM tips that were on the car some time ago. I would not recommend them.

I personally can really dig a DTM tip if coupled with a complimentary kit. My favorite however has got to be the straight tip Scorpion system out there. I really dig its looks.

...wait.... how did I find myself in this subforum?...

    lol

i'm going to be honest. when i was younger (17), i wanted a DTM STYLE MAD TYTE muffler just like that. i found one on ebay for like $40, bought it, had it put on at a muffler shop, and the car sounded "cool", but was LOUD AS FUCK and was so unpleasant to be in, and when i put a stock exhaust back onto the car i could feel an increase in power. so it had actually sapped some of the power, too.

PLEASE do not get this muffler.

if anything get a magnaflow, or something stock-like that will fit, and have them put some tip on it that you like.

yes, i had the M badge too, which should indicate to you how mislead i was as a teen when it came to cars. yes, i also did wheels before suspension.

started a topic Good system, Ugly muffler

    Good system, Ugly muffler

So here's my dilemma, I have a fresh 2 1/4 inch catback exhaust on my 89 325i. I love it, it sounds decent but the only problem is that the muffler is uggllllyyyyyy.
I was wondering if i should buy this one

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...item20ae057261

... I know its ebay, but bare with me I'm not lookin for performance, and I dont wanna spend 200 on a "high quality muffler" when all i want is something that looks better.

And if my exhaust piping is 2 1/4 inches, would i have to weld the 2 1/5 inch inlet of the muffler to my pipe after i saw off the existing muffler?

    Thanks
Working...
