    325ic cranks no start!

    No power at ignition coil while cranking.No power at DME terminal 37,unless jamm the contact points in the main relay closed.Then there's power at 37 I just bought this car the other day and have not bought a bently yet (dose anyone have the factory microfiche on a different format?)so all i have is a mitchel wire diagram i copied at the library.
    but any way it looks like the problem is the ignition with what little information i have so far

    While at terminal 37, did you use a jumper wire from 2 to 36?

      no I did not looking at the schematic that would check the ground right?

          I've put a sum toatal of two hours into it so far there's still probly three more cause Im doin this 60 miles from where i live but ya no volts at coil fuel pump and main relay do not power up no volts at DME terminal 37 should have checked term. 27 but no you're 100% correct bad ground could be the killer since so many things dont power up terminal 27 and coil #30 get power at the same place the ignition switch and where do you get a switch new for $43 bucks

            Well I've spent 9+ days trying to figure out mine.

            If you want to see power to 37, you have to connect 2&36. Once you do, you'll hear your relays click. Connect those two, then do ground (19 is closest) to 37. They're on top of each other. Use the search function and type in, 'no spark no fuel' and other key words like that.

              I know Ive been reading youre posts from day one. It sounded like you didnt have to mutch to work with at first.Dose any one out there have the factory microfiche manual. The last shop I worked at had a microfiche reader and every microfilm you could want for every BMW bentley is second best.

                  ya I know I paid $180 for my audi 5k I paid more for that manual than i ever put parts into that thing (good cheap wrecking yard close by) my eurovan that I have now I got the cd BIG mistake I like the paper The cd you have to go through a Whole rigamarole with customer service when things go wrong.
                  Im used to CIS injection its been a long time since Ive delt with motronic Im about to get a refresher course it looks like. Im gonna re read youre thread s though the problem youre having dosent sound to far off from whats happening with mine

                    Yeah it sucks. Big time. But hopeully yours will go easier than mine. The correct tools and an e30 Bentley is now your bestest friend.

                        my pitbull is my best freind the bentley is now a close second best. The dog and the bentley can ride in back (he's gonna love the convertable top)sounds like you have someone else helping to right now there was a post i replied to that gave a whole flow chart of information thats what im doing right now looking for that thread and talking to you if i could find it would probly solve both our problems Jim i think was his name Im new to fourums.
