The only good Jetta is a Mk1 coupe, anything else is Golf ONLY! The only thing that would even remotely stir me to buy a newer Jetta is a VR6, and maybe the front end because those belong on Golf's. And Corrado's are bitchin as fuck even if they are FWD.
