    Need CABs Pressed - Vancouver/Portland

Looking to get a set of CABs pressed and called a local couple shops (Clarke's European in Vancouver and Hi Way Fuel in Washougal). Clarke's wasn't sure if they had the right plates for their press and may have to send them out to get pressed. Hi Way fuel couldn't provide a decent quote on what it would take...just time spent...maybe $40 or so which seems kind of high (maybe I'm wrong but figured I could get this done for ~$20). Can anyone recommend a place in the Vancouver/Portland area that is familiar with this task and you have personal experience with? Or does anyone here have a press and could help me out?

I've seen where people have done this with a vice but don't want try that route and possibly screw it up.

    Let me know, thanks.

If you are all that worried about it, you might want to just get a set of urethane CABs, non-offest, from AKG. You cannot get them "wrong" and they are very easy to install with a vise.

Ive had them powder coat stuff for me. Press bushings in. Guys in there are 100% legit and know how shit is suppose to work in all instances. Id recommend to just about anyone needing pressing machine work done.

That's the response I was looking for, thanks Matt. Sommer's Machine used to be over in that area and had done some work for me in the past but are no longer doing consumer work. I'll give Dusty's a shot.

yea. My dads been going there for around 15 years to. they use to have an auto parts store in hazel dell but closed down and costless bought them. So they opened a machine shop by themselves to retain most of the customer base

Great call Matt. Dropped 'em off at 4:00, an hour and $10 later; done. Lots going on in that shop, good to see that they're staying busy.

              Thanks again.

                  Dustys Auto Parts is gone?

How sad, I loved that old bitch.

Is she running the machine shop, or did she finally retire?
