Don't bother unless it has image stabilization. 300mm on a crop body is about 480mm, so unless youre shooting in broad daylight youll have trouble getting fast enough shutter speeds to avoid blur.

i only have the stock lense that came with the camera so far, im looking to getting some old pentax ones cuz pentax has such nice compatability with all their lenses to all cameras.

i dunno if the d70 has image stabalizer, but my k-x has it which is nice to know :)
