r3v Party at the Chicane!?!

I just PMed lance about this... how did you get it?

I emailed the Email Lance gave me, gave them my story. talked to her on the phone about r3v and tech and basically said that the people here like to know what others members are doing and cant all go.

So i just wanted to grab pics as a means of saying to other members "hey look what happened this week at PIR"

i cant sell or redistribute them.

I got there at like 12:10 and ran all the way from my car in the field to the ticket booth then to the bridge, then walked down to the chicane. I tried to sneak into the pits so I could watch from the other chicane grandstand and I was up the first flight of stairs thinking I was home free when the lady yells "hey you in the orange shorts!!!". Bummer. I did make it to the grandstands in time though.

The race was awesome. My jaw was dropped on the first lap because of the sheer number of cars. I dont think there have every been so many cars in the chicane at one time. 2 wide, 3 wide, hell even 4 wide. All of the NASCAR fans were loving it, haha. There were some good passes and pass backs, along with some serious tail out trail braking. I was pretty impressed that I never saw any contact the whole race. I had some things to do today, plus the historic NASCAR race sucked, so I left shortly after pro3 was done.

yea nascar was terrible. Most of my pics were behind tires from the chicane.

In all, the event went great. The NASCAR crowd really enjoyed seeing the boxy BMWs race. Many had no idea what we did existed. That we did it with only 160hp was even more impressive. Our lap times were only 12 seconds off the NASCAR times.
