Okay so this is in my price range, and seems pretty decent. Would anybody be willing to meet up with me to help me make a smart purchase.

I can't drive stick yet, I wear a prosthetic leg, but even if I could I wouldn't be able to tell worn synchros from good ones. I just want somebody there who knows the feel of these cars, and can tell me if this one feels right.

Body damage and e30 ususally means it's a under $1000 car. Stock with 250k on the clock? Yea, also under $1000. I'd say a fair price is ~$800. $750 is a nice number.

The one good thing about a 250k mile car is that it's had some stuff done to it around 180k to 220k that needed to be done. Usually by then the stuff that was going to break - has. Things like a rebuilt head, suspension, Calipers.

You're in the Seattle area - I doubt this is the last car that will pop up. If you plan on modding it a bit - then you're best bet is going to pic up someone's project car here that already has a bunch of work done. What your budget?

BTW - I wouldn't pay more than $500 for that car, if it was me personally.

This is one of best deals to come up lately, as I check CL every day for 87-91's. Basically all the local cars for sale from members here are over $5000. And the latest one with body damage the guy wants $3500 for.

Theres alot of ways to talk this guy down, and shit maybe my leg will be a good bargaining tool :)

I have $1600, but will be getting $400 in the coming monthes. I can buy the car now, and do an oil change/plugs, etc. then in a few monthes take care of the other items.

Im only a sophomore in high school, and I know that E30's are getting more expensive due ot the enthusiast following.

We each have our own story of how we got our e30, but I had to wait about 2-3 months, and car after car pop'ed up and sold before I could get to it. Some of these you really have to be quick.

But I don't think a 250k car with body damage(although easily fixable) is something you really jump on.

And as far as $5000 e30 on there boards, well - very few of them are really worth that. Most sellers are wishing they could get $5000. The rest of us that live in reality know that we'll be eating our shorts on any mods we put into the car.

I'd say for $1500 you could get a clean e30 with 150k, maybe even lowered on weaves and a reliable motor.\

I say for $1000, probably less I can get this car. Wait here on the forums for a guy to part out a delphin E30 and get the fender... for $100.

The interior looks, OK. It's a 5 speed. All the ohter reasonably priced ones in the last monthes have been automatics.

I think that members cars have actually been fetching that amount.


And the red car that popped up for 3500 is more than worth that price.

It takes a lot of searching and patience to find a non-beat e30. I looked for about 3 months and finally gave in and bought mine for 1800, way over payed.

Do it, I think the car is doable under a grand. Of course all the E30's around here are overpriced as well.
