looking to trade mine for yours!!!

WANNA BUILD A PRO 3 CAR???
I have an 86 325e with the 2.7 M20 it has 308k on it and still runs very strong. I am looking to trade for an 87-91 running 325i 2dr (doesn't have to run well I just have to be able to drive it to my garage) to start a PRO3 build. The eta has an almost perfect interior. And it also has a very nice sound system in it. Which depending on the trade car may or may not be going with the car. So I bought the car for a grand, put about a another grand into tuning it up. And another grand in the sound system I was gonna restore it but am going another way now. It has some dents mostly on the right side. Left side is nice though. Paints not bad but the clear is starting to oxidize on the roof. I don't have any money due to me also buying an ix for my new daily. Also am starting this project alone and if anyone wants to get on board Im down I just want to start racing!

Uh wait up, you are planning on building a pro3 car (this is not cheap) and you have never even done an HPDE? You should seriously reconsider this. Nobody is going to care about your name whether you win pro3 races (not going to happen anytime soon) or go have fun at HPDE's, lose your ego. Do you even know how expensive racing costs once you have your car up and running (tires, brakes, fixing stuff that breaks, adjusting your car if/when rules change)?

You should start off by taking what you have to the track for some HPDE's and make sure it's for you before you start building a race car to get your name heard.

From what I've heard, a midpack pro3 car is around ~20k in parts, a front runner is about ~35k in parts. Are you ready to make that investment prior to ever being on a track?

I believe Wes Hill said at the tech spec at Griot's last picnic that you could build a begining Pro3 car for about 5 grand, and if i can do that hell Im down to at least try I know I can drive I just need a car and the I'll try and find a couple small parts shops to sponcer my I've been looking in to getting in to racing for years man. Its the only thing I wanna do with my life anymore, just race.
