Price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. I repeat: price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. That's Vagiclean. We've got a customer down here with a full-on fallopian fungus. I'm baking a loaf of bread and I think it's sourdough.

    Hello my fellow Portlanders!

So! First and foremost pleased to meet you all! I'm Abe currently rockin a 87 325es. Here is my project...

I want to make a hybrid motor. I have the 325es motor currently in my car. I've heard of " i ' head conversions in order to get a higher redlining motor. 65k is obviously a lot better than 47k...

Things I'm sure about: I going to need a "I" head and a new computer and instrument cluster.

Things I'm unsure about: fluid path being the same setup, distributer, difficulty of DiY, and other things that currently escape my mind...

Since this is our own little sub forum for the PNW, I was wondering if anyone knew of any reputable shops that have done this swap before. Preferably Portland area. Or, is this swap more or less easy enough to DiY?
    Any help is greatly apreciated.

    A last but not least....
Pick N pull sells heads for about 60-70 bucks depending on either aluminum or cast iron heads w/ or w/o cams. Not included are the springs, rocker arms assem. valves ect... I THINK. Now on the other hand, German Auto Salvage in Boring OR will sell me a complete "I" head for 250. Gurrantied to be able to rebuild. >.> They are actually a pretty cool place to find some of your rather hard to find parts for E30's. I found a great condition 325es cluster there for 50 bucks! AND, they pull the part(s) for you.
I personally recomend them. But to the point... Which is the better deal

    There, I'm done.
    -Abe.

Honestly I dont think a 2.7i is worth the trouble. Your better off just swapping in a 2.5i or a 24V swap.

As far as difficulty in your case all you need to do is find an 87i engine and harness and change out the short block. That pretty much sums it all up.
