Anyone in Vancouver, WA area do a 24V Swap?

Earlier this year I bought my first E30 (88 325is) and after driving it all summer I have noticed it needed some attention. (Leaking Transmission seals, Oil leak from Valve cover, Head gasket, oil pan) So I pulled the engine a couple weeks ago and put it on an engine stand for the winter to replace all gaskets and "freshen" it up a bit. Now a buddy of mine who is building a Pro3 car is trying to talk me into a 24V swap and sell me the M20 as a spare engine for him.

So before I drop the money on parts for the M20 I want to research the cost and effort into probably a M50 swap.

Anybody in Vancouver, WA area have experience in this? I would love to pick their brain.

    Thanks

A number of people in Vancouver have done one. Three so far at my house alone. Your welcome to come by sometime and I can give you a rundown on what you will need and approx costs.

And if you need any help after Wishno helps you out I have experience in that department too. And I didn't cut any corners either.

Matt and Josh (Wishno) are great guys. They're helpful and even fairly socially un-awkward ;)

And not far from you. I'm embarking on a swap shortly here myself, but I'll be doing it solo as there's not a lot of close-to-me E30 guys. I love Orting, but God damnit, it's "far" away from so many people.

Ya Hellzmindplaya knows what he Is doing. In fact he got the first two swaps at my house going and out of my garage. He is a pretty helpful guy.

CK: I could probably come up sometime once you get things underway to check things out.

Sweet, man! I'd love to have you up. I live on a Mountain above Orting proper, so no worrying about your e30 if the Lahar (spelling?) hits ;)

I'm about a week away from picking everything up and getting started. Will be interesting to say the least. Personally, I can't wait.

I cant wait either, cutting corners and all. Because there are corners to cut right?

What corners are you cutting? I'm trying to not cut any at this point. Heh.

$4000 all stock rebuilt ETA motors that stomp 95 525s right?
