That is a great direction to take :) And I am glad you want to keep it white.

Seems like you're a bit focused on the p/u price. How much total $ do you want to spend? I can tell you first hand that a stock 02 slays the stock e21. If it's about the e21 aesthetic then buy an e21. My suggestion would be to save $3000 and pick up a decent square taillight 02 or e30 325i.

I'm not too hung up on the performance. I've had plenty of fast cars. It is more of an aesthetic thing for me. I really like the look of a cleaned up E21. Plus the bay is big enough to swap some muscle into should I want to.

And it's official, I'm now the owner of a white e21. Now the long process of a light restore begins. It's a great starting point. Thanks again Steve!

Sub'd. I'll follow an e21 build. I've never liked the rear end, but, sometimes they get done up right and I can't help but smile.

Yeah, the US bumpers kill the lines. I'm still debating on what temp fix to do until I get euro bumpers. Tuck the bumper or remove it completely, that is the question.

Search out the factory recaro seats and the Sport steering wheel that came in the S-pack models. Both make the driving experience much better than the bench seats and school bus steering wheel.

I've got my eye out for the steering wheel. The sports seats look nice, but I'm a big fella. The bench seats are pretty comfortable. I'm planning on having them re-apholstered eventually.

I have a delicious box of parts for you A :)

I say cut down the factory bumper then tuck it, so you still keep a slim line of shine but most of it is gone

Awesome! We will have to arrange a weather-friendly date to meet up.
