Everyone has been wanting 4k for their early model with a zillion miles. The market has gone up recently that's for sure. I haven't seen any late models for sale in a few months.

Fantastic! picked up this beauty. A 1990 325i in Calypso/pealing clear coat. There is a small dent by the driver tail light.

So where are you at with it now?

Stock head in-hand, ended up buying my old stocker back. The built head situation is being handled appropriately and professionally.

So.... Apparently my built head is missing some oil journals.... The head is stamped 885, so possibly an early SETA head without the oil journals drilled for the later cam???

Kind of disappointing but relieving to know why i wasn't getting any oil flow to the intake rocker arm shaft...

Also, buying back my known good 885 head that i used for 13k miles before swapping on the built head... going to compare the oil journals on this one to see if this is indeed where the problem lies.. No doubt it's a journal issue looking at the oil flow.
