just to let the e30 crowd know, if you have an interest
come by and see the cars that started it all, the 2002

Ok, its that time of the year again. time for the annual 02-02-02 meet and greet.
This year we've invited the Vancouver, BC and Oregon 2002 groups, so hoping the weather cooperates and we have a great day.
All BMW owners and friends are welcome to come.
Below is a copy of the email that was sent.

    Saturday February 5th
    9:30 am
Alki West Seattle boat launch, Seattle

Meet and greet, then a drive around Seattle, probably leaving at 10:30/11:00 or so.
If it all works out anyone that wants can stop for lunch at a suitable spot after the drive.

This is going to be very informal, just an excuse to get the cars out for a drive, hopefully in good weather.

    Rain or shine!
All BMW's are welcome, especially "mature"ones, as are other cars if your BMW is under repair.

For those that have seen the emails going back and forth between Kevin Hill and myself, I am the head of the bmwpugetsound.com 2002 special interest group.
Kevin has been involved with the various yahoo groups in the greater Pacific Northwest. We kind of tripped over each other for this particular meet, but now that the ball is rolling, return email me if you'd like me to add you to our email database for group announcements/meets etc.

Kevin and I talked about getting the groups together in one "group" somehow. Exactly where that leads has yet to evolve.
The whole effort is to enjoy our cars and periodically get together for group functions.

    See you on the 5th!

    Cheers,
    George Bonney

I think my E21 would probably be more appreciated there than it is around these yahoos!

I'll go. I went a few years ago and had a good time chasing them around Seattle.

^ Getting a wheel bearing fixed, oil change/pan(Maybe) and getting a valve adjustment. :) Just some minor things.

I say all the e30's that are going should meet up ahead of time and all roll up the beach together.

I'll scout somewhere on the south end of the beach tonight.

So wish I wasn't working on Saturday. I'd meet you guys up there in a heart beat AND bring the kiddo and wife! She loves 2002 and this would be a great way to get her thinking about owning one in a few years as a project ;)
