got a decision dilemma : keep chasing minivans or do kamikaze plastic bombers?

With the car now falling apart, and minor fixes to be done , i have most out at some stage anyway.

On the list is for sure: engine replacement. (broken timing belt, head with bad rocker). it dirves, it drives pretty well, but the noise is just too anoying.

a bit electrical issue here and there (obc, ignition lock and housing thats still with usps), passenger window motor, goes over to finally replace the rear subframe, diff, struts, brakes..and the oil change...paint job, and some minor cosmetic repairs.(weird painted knobs, paint itself, ....)

so i got a honed and cleaned m20 block. pistons are good, and i can throw the 600 $ in to get that and the head into the as good as new condition, pull the old engine, do th eclutch (forgot above), and throw the new engine in.(again m20b27)

technically least hazzle, and it being cold enough not to lay on the floor all day long, very very appealing.

IF there werent my colleague that wants to have me have his e32 735i, swhich besides the door beign broken, the engine is in almost shiny condition (grandpas car type). Soem guy had it to fix some thgins, but couldnt figure out how to fix the tail lights, which was corrosion on the bulb, but anyway...

so, go and do my daily driving, fix a m20 eta back, do it simply but likely very reliable, OR,
tow a e32 735i, swing the wrench, get whats needed, check it through, prebuild, and then have no daily driver for maybe a week (to address the forgotten things one notices when liftign in the new engine)

also theres the eaton m90 posi displacement blower, id really like to try to put in, just because it looks stuipid in a shelf and , for the fun,not for performance reasons.(would be nice though) torque vs spoiler:-)

means intake fabbing, bracket welding, and so on, and i guess wont be done by late summer.

so, throw money at a cheap fix, to have the ride "ride" or pretend to be a noisy sleeper, and build the big six up and dump that in?

maybe my driving style were important to know, pretty defensiv and more cruising, but theres the occasional need to stretch test the accelerator cable, to make sure its lubricated good enough.
and angry lawnmowers, that occasionally should just be made a point to. (civics and so on).

I like if a car handles well, im more a s-type street guy, but also When i floor it, that it responds.
weight distribution im not too worried nevertheless, as theres ways to address that via the position, so leave that out for a moment.

or in short, the whole car needs to be done somehow anyway, do i do it the way it was just to get over with and drive, or do i do it to screw my fuel economy (non-existent anyways) fully. and step up from chasgin c280/c300 kompressors / v6 mustangs and minivans to ...you know..
wrx/civic lawnmowers.(because theyre so low and spoilered btw, not because of being enjoyed by the latin community, to make that clear,i'm a guest myself)

decisions decisions, so early in the morning. need coffee.
will need help on the big six thing as well that works for spare parts or coffe, beer and burgers.

need soemone who can weld or has a welder (stainelss steel , steel brackets)
need someone who did carbon fiber molding and ideally
soemone who hass access to a lathe.

and need all of em to be close :-(

what to do , what to do. someone please help me deciding.

What the fuck are you asking? I think before you do anything you should go back to highschool and take a few English courses.

I'm with this guy... I tried reading it, but after a few paragraphs, my head started to hurt. Even skimming gave me little to no info. I didn't even see the word minivan in the article and I certainly don't know what the hell a "kamikaze plastic bomber" is.

I'd help, but too far. Do the big six, torque is where it's at on a dd.

Do you want to maintain your engine more than basic oil changes, air filters, the occasional spark plug and brakes? If you do, go M30. If you get a screaming lucky ass deal you can squeeze out a low(er) mileage 5 series and not have to worry as much about more frequent maintenance but you're still looking at a new cooling system (if you're smart) and probably ~140xxx miles on the low end.

Otherwise, aim for a m/s/50/52 and just bite the bullet, get some money into your bay and call it a day. Drive. Have fun. Enjoy the non-hassle of 24v.

By the way, this is more or less what your posts should look like. Hell, skip capitalization and just use ".", ",", and some form of paragraph. I didn't even read your post, just the responses.
