    I need this tool ASAP....

Either this or an idea on how to get the crank bolt off.

If anybody in the greater Seattle area has one that is either willing to sell or let me borrow that would be cool. Currently trying to replace crank seals.

    Thanks,
    Dustin

5th gear, ebrake on. that will keep the crank from spinning. Then just use a long breaker bar.

That tool is more trouble than it's worth.

Yeah that would work except that it's sitting on an engine stand. Any other ideas guys?

Take the oil pan off and put a 2x4 between the crank counterweights and the inside of the block. You'll have to weigh down the opposite side of the engine stand, but you can break the bolt free with a long bar. This is what I did.

We will try this on Monday. Thank You.

Assuming your engine stand is the "T" type, I had to put 160lbs of sand over the end of the opposite side to keep the stand from tipping.

Get a 2x4 that goes the whole length of the inside of your block to distribute the force. The wood is also soft enough to not cause any damage.

The 2x4 with some other wood wedges worked great. We just used an air gun on the crank bolt.

              Thanks for the help.
