    feeler looking for m42 engine

    mine is apparently about to die ive found pieces of the chain in my oil and bits of plastic seeing if anyone has one laying around that is low mileage and low price lol

      it would need new timing chain guide rails probably sprockets and that shit is going to add up fast about 300 without the sprockets i would need help with getting tdc aligned and locked in place etc

            Do the chain would be my advice as well. Excellent learning experience and it's probably the cheaper option as well. I'm sure there are people that could help you get it aligned. A friend and customer just came to my work and bought everything needed to do the complete job and it was about $400. For everything.
            Just a thought.

                Sprockets rarely go bad unless you had some serious chain slippage. Start browsing M42club plenty of info on this job.

                  already on it doesnt look to hard but need the alignment tool. sprockets when i checked them werent pointy so they should be ok
