    m50 Vanos swap

So I'm gearing up for an M50 Vanos swap and have been reading up in the 24v swap forums and it seems to be quite a fun project. I have an M50 out of a 95 325 and the 5 speed transmission as well. I'll be getting the wiring harness, dme, exhaust, motor accessories, and possibly some of the other stuff.

The list of parts I'll need is actually pretty short according to the forums. Hopefully everything will come together pretty easy and quick.

I'll try to get some pics of the donor car up soon as well as the motor and trans when I get them.

If anyone has any advice besides just read the forums I'm open to suggestions.

    Thanks
    Dussen

lol, it's not that hard. All the information you need to do the swap is in the threads. I'm in no way a mechanic and was able to swap an S50 without the need to ask for any guidance on the forum. I did cheat and have my harness wired by gregslow318.

Good luck, it's a fun project.

Reckless even the harness, is all well documented, r3v is the home of 24v swaps, probably 10 every 50 square miles here :)

There's a difference between it not being that hard, and everything coming together easy and quick.

There are going to be things that don't fit right and unexpected problems. However of course you can overcome these... and the end result is totally worth it ;)

love feeling the back end step out when i shift to 3rd in the dry.
