^ Then the hardtop sucks when it becomes nice and you're like "Well that sucks. Can't put my top down."

Exactly. Hardtops are only useful if you DD your car in the winter. Otherwise, huge pain in the ass IMO. My top is new and doesn't leak, but let's face it, driving a convertible with the top up isn't nearly as much fun as driving with it down.

^ Couldnt agree more! I just had to get a new back window for mine because the seals had finally worn out and the window ripped out on 405. Been using plastic bags the last week and a half to prevent water damage lol.

But, yeah the soft top is good during summer and hardtop is more ideal during winter.

Works perfect. It's a pain in the ass to be driving along, enjoying some top-down motoring, encounter a shower, pull over, put up the top, drive for 5 mins, rain stops, pull over, put tops down, etc..... Since this is a big organized drive I can't just stop and put my top down. It's one or the other most of the way.

You gotta be tougher than that! When we had our TT Roadster, we just put the top up when it was parked. If you're moving, you won't get wet ;)

Well my car is still at the shop getting the valve adjustment, base idle set and throttle bodies synced... I haven't even started on the cosmetic stuff.

Oh boy! What do you need to do cosmetically?

                                Wash, polish, wax, & dressing.
Clean/dress engine bay, reinstall sparco strut bar, undertray assembly, a-pillars.
                                Vacuum/clean/condition interior & seats.

I actually wanted to refinish the valve cover as well but I won't have time.
