We had a PRO3 race car with a skid plate on that broke an oil pan. A pebble or small rock got lodge between the oil pan and skid plate. so hit the skid plate, and the force pushed the rock right throught the oil pan. So if you run a skid plate, inspect for lodged rocks or pebbles from time to time.

Abe was driving up to Rick's house this afternoon. There was a dip in the road that he forgot to slow down for and hit the skid plate which hit the oil pan and cracked it. When I left at 8, they had the oil pan almost off Rick's parts car.
