    Portland Area Machine Shop

Headgasket = toast in my m30 swapped car. Oil in the coolant :( Thankfully the S50 is running nicely in the other e30.

So, I'm going to put a MLS gasket and some ARP studs on it, and eventually boost the shit out of it.

In the meantime, I want to at least get the head resurfaced. Can you guys recommend any good machine shops locally? What else should I consider doing/replacing while I have this thing apart? Budget isn't huge, but I want to do it right the first time. Won't be touching the bottom end of the motor.

    Thanks for the help!

The shop next to my Dad's shop is Dan's Cylinder Head. They're on 105th and Sandy, near Parkrose Hardware. Best work in town and great pricing. Same day service usually. Just give Dan a call tomorrow. He'll hook you up! 503.253.7686. Tell him Austin referred you.

Yessir. The wifes car indeed. But I can't have her running more hp than me. I have to boost my engine now.

Sure is. Never overheated it or had any symptoms. I just noticed the coolant getting milky with oil when I checked the fluids.

No big deal. I was planning on building another s50 and boosting it. I have a lower end for one in my garage. But now that the head has to come off the m30 anyway, I'll just plan on boosting that motor. Should be fun.

Seriously the best shop in the NW. They have some amazing equipment in there. They did the rebuild on my M42, and they do all the block work for Horsepower Freaks.

They were recommended to my by John Reed, which says something in itself.

                      Very good pricing as well.
