I gotta say that I enjoy owning an "uncommon" car.
Common cars?

I see e30's constantly. They're probably the same 20 or so, but since I drive half of oregon for my job, I'm always on e30 lookout. Family roadtrips are annoying as I yell "e30" out of nowhere. I do the same thing in movies. It's really a problem. But for the non-enthusiast eye, I'm sure they're considered an uncommon car.
As for the old lady, there is a lady here in west salem with a bone stock red 90 325i in perfect shape, paint, panels, uncurbed bottlecaps, clean interior, no leaks. I see her all the time so she must live near me. I need to start stalking her so I know where to look for the For Sale sign when she eventually sells it for the priusComment

I have only seen a few e30s outside of people I met on this forum in my area. But today my friend was getting gas when an e30 m3 pulled in, so of course I got out and told him what a beautiful car he had and that I went from an e30 to an e36 and now I think it was a downgrade, seemed to make his day, I don't think he gets a lot of recognition for what he has.Comment

e30s are pretty common from what i've seen around here. a majority of them are pretty beat-up however. makes it easier to stand out a bit ;)Comment

My wife, an E30 non-enthusiast, spotted one down an obscure side street as we were going by on the main drag. She even said, "Diving boards, though..."
What I find weird though, is that I never see other E30's hooning around like idiots.Comment
