For now I am just seeing what kind of interest this draws. I have two weeks left of school so I don't know what my schedule will be like immediately. This does not mean that you cannot send cash offers my way or any potential trades.
So I have had this car for almost 5 months and I have discovered two things. The first is that I love e30's, this being my first e30 that i've owned. I have been around more e28's but I definitely want another e30. That said, the second thing I found out is that I do not want a convertible. I want a hardtop e30 that I can effectively make upgrades on. I know some people have done this with convertibles but its just not me. This is an excellent car and it pulls really hard I just want a hardtop version, i love the m20.
FOR TRADE I'd consider: '91 318is, '91 318i, 325ix (2 or 4 door), and 325i or 325is (2 or 4 door). i'll look at early models if the value is right but I have a sweet spot for late models and their plastic bumpers.
****I'd Really Like a 318is*** NO AUTOMATICS!!!! I WANT ANOTHER 5-SPEED!!
CASH: i'll throw out the number $3,500 because I know its forum policy to post a price. Keep in mind I am in no hurry to sell it at the moment.
Pro's:
- Calypso red metallic exterior
- Black sport interior (front seats are perfect!)
- 132k miles
- Clean title
- 14” basketweaves w/ good tires (the caps are not currently on the car but i - have them.)
- timing belt @ 120k miles
- new OEM exhaust system
- new radiator
- trunk resealed
- oil changed @ 129k
- shadowline @ 130k
- suede ebrake & shift boots 1/11/11 (Matt-B from r3v)
- New Battery – 2/5/11
*I have a rear sway bar from a 325ix that has not yet been installed but I can include that. Its a little bigger than the stock one on the car now.
**Last owner is a r3v member who kept it in his garage and before him it was a Cali car.
Cons:
I'll be perfectly clear, this car is not perfect.
- There is a small leak at the front corner on the drivers side. I have a car cover that keeps everything dry for now but buying the "seal" kit from bav or somewhere would be beneficial. I was going to do that this summer before I decided to sell.
- The rear window is foggy
- There are two tears in the rear bench.
- Turn signal stalk is bent backwards, still functions perfectly and can easily be swapped out.
