Thanks good to find shops that know the motor, the shop i usually go to does mostly domestics, im guessing you've done business with them. Do they do quality work?

If they do the PRO3 E30 cars, I'm sure they can handle yours.

PRO3 engines from Accurate routinely run at red line without issues. Their attention to detail is really good. I'm going on Year 4 on my Accurate Engine. They also do domestic, but have carved out a nice niche doing M20 engines.

As good as Accurate engines is, I will put their machine work up against Highlands East any day, for about 1/2th the cost.

The head they did for Chris Taft was excellent. I am considering them to port my S50 head, but don't know if I need to even do that.

Accurate Engines. We finally pulled the head(built by Accurate) off of the Pro3 car(after 8 years!), and all it got was valve guide seals and three new valves to replace the bent ones, and then back on. Quality work and Good people that really care.

Hey guys ... thinking of having the M42 refreshed for a variety of reasons ... what does it cost to have an engine redone? Before anyone says "get 24v!" ... Just trying to get some perspective on costs. Thanks.

                    This.

Highlands East did AMAZING work for about half to a third of the cost of what 20 other shops quoted me. I didn't check Accurate as it's a bit north for me. Highlands East treated me not only well, he's one cool cat and knowledgeable as hell.

                      Work?

There's work involved with this? I'm not a mechanic, I'm a parts collector.

I've seen the work that Accurate Engines does and I can vouch that they do real quality work. They are on the expensive side but they get the job done right, and they have a very good reputation.
