            Just emailed him, he's actually asking $2500 for the whole car, and it is BEAT. Apparently the interior is trashed, and there is tons of rust. So, its a parts car at best.

                    Why the hell would you want a carb'ed m30? Probably makes about the same power as a m20 (hp, not torque) and uses twice as much gas.

                      Do some research, these things are torque monsters if you rebuild them with the right parts and carbs.

                      You do not get raped at the boarder if you know how to communicate with people. Just let them know the car is a bucket and your taking a few parts and trashing the rest. They will be more than happy to unload there canadian junk into the us, hell they prolly laugh about it. My brother did just that this winter with a miller boosted e36 and there was no problem what so ever they were stoked to see it go south!

                      Next time i wont post to avoid this..

                          That car would actually be really easy to import. I imported a pretty clean euro-spec 520i last year; only waited about 20 minutes at the border, filled out some forms, and paid almost no duty. Piece of cake.

                          As long as it's over 25 years old, you're in the clear.
