    M20b25 to M20b23

    Hello-
    Need some help, I'm going to be swapping a 90k mile euro 2.3l M20 from an 85 into a 1989 325i plastic bumper car. (insert criticism or tell me what a dumb idea this is now)... And then think about it.
    Is there a link to a diagram that has the body side harness from an early car being converted into a late model car available?
    I assume by splicing an early model plug into the body side that the early engine harness plug would run everything properly off the m20b23 harness and ecu.

      duuude, seriously dont do it.. i have a 89 325is and a 84 323i they are night and day difference.. I can seriously feal around 50 more hp out of the 2.5 and plus you will have to convert to a dizzy.. super retarded

        why would you want to make a car slower? am i missing something here? i dont see any sense in putting a 2.3 in there

          2.3 has 90k and is extremely well maintained and 2.5 in the car is garbage. That was the part you were missing.

              croak, Just convert the b23 over to the motronic from the b25, use the intake manifold and all related components from the engine already in there. so pretty much just use the b23 block and head and the rest off the b25. holler at me.
