        Acquire early model E30.
        Euro bumps.
        Profit?

        Not gonna happen. :(

Anyone willing to help airplanebuilder and I with a valve adjustment? Need to get this done. It sounds like a bunch of tinkering hamsters in my engine bay.

            I'm an idiot.

I'm under the car last night, about to reinstall the oil pans. I see the power steering pump and notice the bracket bushings are spongy and squishy. I remember buying new bushings for it months ago - why not swap them out now while I'm here?

I get both out, destroying them in the process. I go to grab the new bushings and O SHIT. What I had ordered was the adjustment bracket bushings, not the actual mount bushings. No one stocks the bushings, these are special order from BMW...

Here's hoping they get here in time.

^ Are you replacing the main bearings as well as the rod bearings?

                No mains, just rod bearings.

I think to do mains in-car you have to do a lot more work. I'll save that for when the engine is out off the car.

I doubt the bushings are the same but I just ripped all the power steering stuff out of my M20. Now the bushings are far from new ( if there is any) but you could have them for free and use them just for the drive. I will see if there were even any bushings.

I am attempting a valve adjustment for the first time by myself. Stay tuned for explosion.

Mine is getting done either today or tomorrow. I don't have the tool so I'm having a shop do it.

Anybody local have a decent looking hood roundel? I needs one.

Haven't figured out my idle problem yet, there's a good chance I won't make it if I don't think of a solution fast. Grrr

Awesome. I'm going to check price at the stealership tomorrow. If they are too outrageous I will hit you up!

Well this week i got my new rotors installed, fixed my exhaust leak, got my 02 sensor squared away, passed emmisions, got tabs, installed new rims, oil changed, started reupholstering the front seats and got 1 headlight changed out (will do 2nd tonight) seems like i should have everything done by friday night. Working from 4am-4:30pm makes it hard to do anything!
