    New ring install, piston gapping? PDX

    Does anybody in the PDX area know how to do this?

    Put ring into the correct cylinder, use feeler gauge in gab of the ring, pull ring and sand down edges of the gap, put back in, measure, repeat until correct gab is achieved. You want the feeler gauge to be tight but not difficult to put in. Make sure you are sanding straight, do not make an angle in the gap. And this goes without saying-don't sand over the block...
    It's pretty simple, I'd show you but I'm not in pdx.
