      I thought the M73 was only used in E38s or E31s, not E32s.

                    Actually it is not as heavy as you would think; it's got an alloy block and heads (which are SOHC->less material). Don't quote me on this but I've heard it's about the same weight as an S54 if not a bit lighter.

                        From what I've read they aren't worth the hastle or as reliable as the inline six motors. They are only rated at 300 hp too. Not too good considering the M60 is just over 280 and 1 less liter.
