    Question regarding ECU??

    hey fellas,

I recently bought an e30, and it came with 2 ECUs. Both ECUs came with performance chips, but the one i have never heard of that is installed in one of my ECUs is called "Hypertech - High Performance Technology"...

Have you guys heard of this chip? and how much do they go for? atm i have it posted on craigslist for $50 WITH the a bosch motronic 325es ECU. just tryna see if i should hold onto it, or let it go.

    thanks in advance!

      try it out!
run both in the car and which ever one is faster and does not produce a CEL code is the winner!

and it might be a cheap ebay one...

They have made tuning software for a few decades for domestic cars as well as imports.

              They listed a chip BITD.

AFAIK, Hypertech started all this "chip tuning" biz. They certainly have been around since the earliest days of EFI tuning, they offered Camaro crap back in the mid 80's.

Their site says they got rolling back in '85.

like said before, ran their stuff in some GM products.. They were big with the F-body's and the G-body Turbo Regal groups.. Pretty decent performance out of the box. $50 is a decent bargain for someone.
