Car is (or at least was a couple years ago) owned by Mark Dikeos of Pacific Motorsports. Believe it was featured in Performance BMW a few years back.

Yea, he basically stole it from the previous owner from what I heard, guy was having it built, ran out of funds, shop did a mechanic lean or something.

Hmm, I talked to Mark at the car show and he told me that he traded an engine swap for the car and then restored it.... but I don't really know.
