PRO3 to race again at Bi-Mart 125 at Portland Int'l Raceway

PRO3 Returns to NASCAR country.

The BMW PRO3 racing group will return as a single series support race at the 2011 BI-MART 125 held July 22-24 at Portland International Raceway. The Oregon and Puget Sound BMW Clubs will be sharing a hospitality tent in the PRO3 paddock area. The tent will also receive support from the BMW CCA National office.

Last year was PRO3’s first visit to the BI-MART 125, and PRO3 put on a great show. 37 PRO3 cars participated, a record turnout. This year we'll see 38 PRO3 cars to race. Also on the bill will be the NASCAR K&N Pro Series (West Division) featuring up and coming NASCAR drivers hoping to move up the NASCAR ladder. There will also be a group of “vintage” NASCAR running, plus other on-track activities all weekend long.

The PRO3 format will see the group run a special 30 minute Qualifying Race on Saturday afternoon, the results of which will set the grid for the Sunday 45 minute Main Event run at 10:00am.
