They are full on coilovers. Look at the rears...
Without proper bracing you'll punch a hole through your shocktowers and R3V into a busload of orphans.
Because this is R3V they won't be installed properly...
Because R3V installed
Because R3V
R3V
...into a busload of orphans.
Never forget.Comment

I thought you meant there was something actually wrong with them quality wise
In his ad he says the kit comes with both types, true coil over rear and separated spring/shockComment

The guy selling them is one of my friends roomates. ive seen them in person, they appear to be fairly good quality, he said they are custom made by selex for the e30 but when he recieved them he found out that the body/frame must be cut/notched because the rear full body type coilover wouldnt clear, so he contacted selex and they sent him the regular seperated spring/shock style. This is just what my friend that lives with him told me when i asked about them, i am somewhat contemplating buying them.
for the record, its a stupid internet myth that the coilovers will blow through the strut tower, there are plenty of guys in europe that run full body coilovers in the rear with the stock tower. Not saying i would run them without a little bit of boxing of the tower but by the time you cut/notch the frame to fit them it wouldnt be much more work to plate around the strut tower and throw a brace in there. Honestly i would be more concerned about the lower shock mount taking a beating.
But the fact that they are "custom made" and no one has any experience with them on an e30 nor is there many reviews for them on other cars makes me very weary to buy them, might just stick with the tried and true gc setup.Comment
