    m3 front seats difference...?

Are the m3 seats the same as the sport seats from the e30 models or are they different?

    Stitching pattern is different.

    Price is high.

M3 and vert seats are the same, they have horizontal stitching. Sports have vertical stitching.

That is very expensive for those seats.

This. Some have told me that they are slightly different mechanically from the Vert, but I think they are exactly the same. Just because they're from an M3 doesn't mean they're worth their weight in gold.

Wouldn't pay more that $250 for those.

The lever to tilt them forward is different.

The "seat" part is the same though, is what I meant.

You guys won't pay the asking price, but some E30 M3 owner will pony up.

I can's say anything that hasn't really already been said, but yes the M3 seats use the same stitching and covers as the convertible but with the coupe tilt-mechanicals. The padding, frame, headrests, sliders and back panels are all the same throughout the E30 range.
They are a bit high in price if you ask me, for that price I could get a set of coupe seats and recover them in new M3 pattern upholstery. I'm actually in the process of doing just that, just waiting for my kit from creative options.

Also the vert seas have no pipping, the M3 ones do.

Most people don't know this interesting FACT.....

M3 seats are lined with gold, making them approximately 2-3x more expensive than other E30 seats.

Okay, not really but honestly $500 seems to be the good condition asking price. I'd say low condition is about $300 and excellent being up to $800. So His price is right in the middle. And as Lance already stated, somebody will pay his asking price.
