    Setting the bait

Location isn't "currently WA (lol)" right now, it's more like "I'm stuck in California, Damnit...Dreaming of WA"

    However!

I have been applying at all sorts of places over the last several weeks while I've been back at home base, where the sun is still doing its best to melt my ass.

I've been starting to get a little discouraged with all the effort going into this and no payoff, until today. I've set so many lines, and gotten absolutely nowhere until now; I may have just caught a job on the end of one of them. An HR person from a company called Hexcel in Kent called me this afternoon. I've returned the call and left a message but it sounds interesting and they want to hear more. Ill be sure to get a hold of them tomorrow if I do not hear back, I just got the message a couple hours late.

    Wish me luck huh?

^^ its because its close to Oregon, but not Cali or Idaho.

Good job on getting a nip, Remember, a great job is only as good as it is to you. When you interview you're not only selling yourself, your buying them. The better the purchase the longer and happier you could be. <---- this goes to a point and lately with the crap shoot we are in you "could" be in a need it to survive situation, which i fine.

Hope all goes well, and enjoy some site-seeing while you go meet person to person.

Good points HippyEarly. I dont close my options as soon as I receive just one, but I am pursuing it to learn more. I was also up there for a month and a half recently through July and part of August. I like it up there... editx3 - even though thats when WA tried to pretend it was summer. LOLOL

Luke mentioned Boeing when I talked with him today. I think I've applied for a couple jobs there, but there's been so many its hard to remember. I'm still looking around though, and anything that comes up from them for things that I could do I'm definitely still looking into it.

I LOL at the typical Portland Hipster. I work in Portland, but seeing all the hipsters makes me shake my head at them.

If you look like everyone else in Portland, there's no need to take the test ;)

                      Edit: Or just watch Portlandia.

Portlandia? Is that sh*t show still on... If our mayor spent as much time fixing all the beat to crap roads as he does trying to get on TV..

I will never understand why so many people move to the NW without a job, and expect to find something. We still are above the National average here, we have more than enough homeless already; you can visit, but kindly leave when you are done seeing the sights.

Couldn't tell ya if it's still on, as I've only been shown youtube clips. That, and customers ask if I've seen it

Talked with the HR lady today, and everything sounds good. I said I could be back into Washington in early October, so like a week-ish away. Once I am there, I am to call back and get an in person interview and everything else to get a go-ahead. I'd like to work there to get in on the aerospace manufacturing industry, and could potentially move on from there. We'll see, at least there's bites. Cya'll :P
