    Need some help.

    on my way to work this morning I went to down shift and my clutch pedal compressed and engaged the clutch but would not come back up. if i pull it by hand it will come up but thats it. any help would be awesome.

    Sounds like the clutch spring came out. Look on the floor for it and put it back in. If it's not that, my guess would be clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder.

      clutch master cylinder is probably toasted, it happen to me once. It's an easy job but it took me a long time to do it.

        Look at your clutch/brake fluid. If it's empty/low then you either have a leak or more likely the slave or master cylinder has taken a crap and is not holding pressure.

        PS, if the pedal is stuck on the ground then the clutch would be disengaged.

          the fluid is still full. and when the car is turned off it works fine you can see the fluid moving in the rez. it works long enough for me to put it into first and then it stays on the floor..

            If its not the master or slave cylinders how much are we looking at to fix it?

              Well, to get that answer, you have to find the issue with it first to get an idea of how much it'll cost to fix.

                I'm betting it's the slave. Try to bleed the slave, if it bleeds with good pressure then the master has pressure.
