So some of you might be old enough to remember the original Joshiefest out at Mt Bachelor in JAnderson's hood. I'm old enough, but didn't go.
My car will be on jackstands probably through the next picnic (money and time are making swaptacular a very LLOONNGG project.) :(
Anywho, there's lots of folks in Oregon, and I was thinking that me going to a meet in the subaru was pretty lame, so why not have the group over.
I live in West Salem, which is undoubtedly out of the way for the vast majority of PNW'ers. But, if there's any interest I'll float this idea:
I have a decent size house, a garage with most tools (if you need to do any projects), a kegerator in said garage (hope you like PBR and are 21), a basset hound and rescue kitties that love company, and I can BBQ with the best of them.
It's almost December, and I haven't even got approval from the wife, but if you guys want to have a mini-meet in the suburbs on a winter weekend (that isn't raining), we could have a beer and bbq day in the cold bullshitting about cars.
Just thought I'd float the idea of Superbowl 2012 (Feb 5th) or really any non-holiday weekend that is easy. But at least on superbowl if it is rainy and cold, we still have something to do. My TV isn't really huge by modern standards though (42"?), so that might be a deal breaker.
Anywho, the family is filling in the calendar, and I thought I'd give back a lil and host if there is interest.
Otherwise david, phil, ty, and I will be drinking without you.
