        This summer, I chose a respray over a 24v swap/baller wheels.
Sometimes I hate myself for doing the right thing lol
You should post up a vid of the engine running, people like that,

Thanks. Just to clarify: drive shaft is sold, so is complete exhaust. Downpipes and m52 exhaust manifolds I used for my swap.

Nice deal. Kinda makes me want to get another E30 just for a transplant.

Very interested. So, I would need engine mount arms, manifold, driveshaft, and diff for my swap. Is that right? On top of the regular swap parts, oil pan, engine mounts, ix booster...of course.

Do you know if and when the head gasket has been done?

                    How about the clutch?

I do have motor arms that can be included with sale for $30. And yes, you will need driveshaft, headers, custom exhaust, and the rest of the parts to complete this swap.
Lmk if you decide to pull the trigger. Thanks

At this point I'm going to keep looking for a complete donor car. The exhaust with cats would just drive my cost up too much.

Understandable. But you don't have to use stock exhaust and cats, at least I didn't. It was so much more work and money to make it fit, that I decided to sell it and built one from scratch.

What did you use for cats? How much did you end up putting into the exhaust? Stock replacement cats are about $1000.
I could still be convinced but am trying to do this without breaking the bank. The full donor car solves a lot of headaches related to sourcing each and every little part and gives me some parts to sell to recoup a little of my investment.

I'm not trying to convince anybody to do this or that, but from my experience custom exhaust was a better choice. I know some people went with e36 exhaust but had to cut/bend/weld to make it right. Remember, its dual piping from headers to tips. Also, another draw back - its very heavy. My exhaust weighs roughly 1/3 of that. Here is what I used: m52 s/s oem headers -> Ypipe -> 6" flex pipe -> Magnaflow cat -> 30" magnaflow glasspack -> some cheap dual tip ebay muffler ( all piping and parts are 2.5") I only had to use 3' of 2.5"piping.
It sound very good, not too loud and not raspy at all. It cost me $160 in parts and one full day of labor with my cousin (thanx Alex). If you need more info I would be more then happy to help.
